As of 15 November 2017, export containers can only be delivered to the terminals when the export documentation has been pre-announced in Portbase.
This concerns containers delivered by road, rail and per barge and applies to all terminals in the port of Rotterdam.

With this new procedure, the terminals expect to be able to work faster and more efficiently.
It is important that we receive the packing list and commercial invoice prior to, or directly after loading of the cargo at the latest, in order to prepare the customs documentation.

Containers will not be accepted at the terminal without export documentation. When said documentation is not in our possession in time, extra charges might occur.

The Kuwait customs authority has implemented a new customs rule.
With immediate effect, all cargo shipped to and from Kuwait must be palletized.

This applies to all import and export cargo, for both FCL and LCL shipments.

Customs will charge penalties if the new requirements are not met. Cargo will then be released upon payment.

The Chinese government has closed the Huangpu Suigang Terminal in China.
As per October 25th, this terminal is no longer operational.

There are several other terminals in Huangpu such as the Jisi terminal or Wuchong terminal.

We advise you to check with your Chinese supplier or client which terminal has their preference.
